Please check the following:
★ Weather Conditions
On sunny days, please make sure the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight.
On cloudy days, charging may not occur if there is any shadow over the panel.
★ Condition of the Solar Panel
Ensure the panel is not shaded or blocked by any objects.
Check whether the panel is bent or deformed.
Do not place the panel behind indoor glass; it must be used outdoors.
Check if the USB port is supplying power.
When in use, confirm whether the LED indicator on the panel is lit.
★ Status of the Portable Power Station
Confirm whether you are using a Jackery-branded power station. We have not conducted compatibility tests with third-party brands.
Check whether the power station can be charged via AC adapter or car charger.
★ Connection Between Solar Panel and Jackery Power Station
Please use the original cable provided with the solar panel to connect to the Jackery power station.
Due to possible loose connections, try reconnecting multiple times.
If the display shows 0W input, keep the solar panel connected for a few hours and observe if the battery level increases.
⚠️ Factors Affecting Solar Panel Output:
- Insufficient Sunlight
Solar panel output is directly affected by light intensity. When light intensity drops below 1000W/m², power output will decrease.
- High Temperatures
High panel temperatures reduce efficiency. For example, SolarSaga 200 has a temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C, meaning every 1°C increase results in a 0.29% decrease in output power.
- Dust, Shadows, or Incorrect Panel Angle
Dust on the panel surface, shadow coverage, or improper angle toward the sun can significantly reduce output.
- Conversion Loss from the Power Station
The MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) efficiency of the power station typically ranges from 90% to 95%, which causes some power loss during the charging process.
🔧 If the issue is still not resolved, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:
- Test Conditions: Place the panel outdoors with no obstructions, under direct sunlight between 12 PM – 2 PM, and check how much power is being input (in watts).
- Try Different DC Input Ports: For example, Jackery 600Plus has two DC input ports—test both to rule out a port issue.
- Check if AC wall charging and car charging work properly.
- Record a clear video showing the issue and send it to our email hello.aus@jackery.com.
Once we receive your video, we will assist you as soon as possible.
